We cover the whole of Leicester and Leicestershire with our Intensive Driving Courses, sometimes refered to as crash courses. We also cover parts of South Derbyshire. We feel that our Intensive courses are very competitively priced, and offer outstanding value for money.

Intensive Driving courses (crash courses) are Ideal for anyone wanting to learn how to drive in a short time. Ideally you should have passed your theory test and have some driving experience to get the most from learning to drive this way. 

We do offer intensive courses to people who have not passed their theory test, but because of the waiting list for the test we need at least four weeks notice. We would advise that those who have not passed a theory test, start lessons as soon as possible, then do the intensive part after passing the theory. We feel this relieves part of the pressure of having to pass the theory first time.

If you book an Intensive driving course, or crash course, through SCB Driving School we take care of everything for you . Once we have received your deposit we will start looking for a practical test for you. Our experienced staff will find a test to fit in with your course ending. If there is not a test available for the last day of your course, it will be taken on the next available date. If this happens we will save 3 hours of your course for that day.

Intensive driving courses involve a lot of work on your part, and can be very tiring. They are only suitable for people with a good concentration span, who can take in a lot of knowledge at one time. You will be driving for between 3 and 6 hours a day.

All of our Intensive driving courses are tailored to suit you. No two people learn at the same pace. We strongly advise that you take a 1 hour assessment drive with us, from this, we will be able to give you an accurate estimate of how many hours tuition you will need to be up to test standard. 

All of the prices below include the cost of the Practical Test.   Beware of other schools offering intensive courses, some add these on later. The Price you see on this page is the price you pay.

These are some of our most popular courses. But please remember: ALL OF OUR COURSES ARE TAILORED TO SUIT THE PUPIL. There is no set amount of hours it takes for someone to learn to drive. Although the DSA say that 40 hours with an ADI and some private practice is average.

Our Courses:

6 Hours retest: £179.00   1 Day    This course is suitable for someone who as failed their test in the last month or so.

5 Hours tuition + 1 hour for test

12 Hours retest: £299.00  2 Days.  This course is suitable for someone who as failed their test in the last few months, or as failed on more than 1 serious fault.

11 hours tuition + 1 hour for test

18 Hours intensive:  £429.00  3 Days. This course  is suitable for someone who as had lessons before and can use MSPSL while dealing with Junctions, Crossroads, Roundabouts and can reverse fairly well. Are confident and good learners.

3 Days 17 Hours tuition + 1 hour for test.

24 Hours intensive: £559.00  4 Days. This course is suitable for someone who can drive forwards competently, using MSPSL when dealing with Junctions, Crossroads and Roundabouts. 

4 Days 23 hours tuition + 1 hour for test.

30 Hours intensive:  £679.00  5 Days    This course is suitable for someone who can move away and stop a car, using MSM and has good knowledge of a cars controls.

5 Days 29 Hours tuition + 1 hour for test.

36 hours intensive:  £799.00  6 Days. This course is suitable for someone who has no, or very little driving experience. Is a good learner and has a good concentration span. 

6 Days 35 hours tuition + 1 hour for test.

 42 Hours intensive:  £899.00  7 Days. This course is suitable for someone with no driving experience, is an average learner and has an average concentration span.

7 DAYS 41 Hours tuition + 1 hour for the test.

All the above courses can be taken over 1, 2, or 3 weeks.

The above are just our basic prices for Intensive Driving Courses. We will design a crash course that suits you and your level of learning. Any of the above crash courses can be booked with £100 deposit. We do strongly advise that you book a 1 hour assessment for an accurate guide to how many hours you may need. If you have an assessment the standard fee of £20.00 applies, but we will deduct this from the full crash course fee if you book an intensive course of 24 hours or more.
